SELANGOR COAST CLUB KLANG was founded in 1906 by Mr Yeoh Guan Hup under the name of “Klang Unity Reading Room” in a shop-house at Main Street, Klang in 1908. The Klang Unity Reading Room changed its name to “Klang United Association” in 1911. In 1916, the Association was renamed "Selangor Coast Club". The Club had recently changed its name and now officially known “SELANGOR COAST CLUB KLANG”.
Built on one and the half acres of land, Selangor Coast Club Klang aspires to provide social and recreational activities to people from all walks of life who can take the opportunity by becoming members of the Club. The Club also aims to promote a healthy living lifestyle that would benefit its members by providing out-door and in-door facilities. Throughout the years, Selangor Coast Club Klang has been lead by many of its capable Presidents and Vice Presidents as well as Committee members.
Today, with strength of 1,400 members, Selangor Coast Club Klang has thus become one of the prominent social and recreational Clubs in Selangor and they will continue to grow with its members for years to come.
